Door Dash

Door dash is another on demand delivery service that delivers ready made food to customers. It’s definitely side gig material but can also be used as a full time job as well. On average, I make about $20 per hour of Door dash deliveries. They always seem to need people, unlike other delivery services where you’re going to end up on the dreaded wait lists.  Day in the life: I login into my account and schedule deliveries within the available blocks and locations. When the scheduled time comes you start your app. You can stay in one “hot” location or drive around to see the available deliveries close to you. If I’m in a good spot, I’ll stay put. If I haven’t gotten anything in 15 minutes, I’ll start to move around to maximize my chances of getting deliveries. It’s important to follow delivery instructions in order to maximize any tips you’ll receive.

Amazon Flex

Most people have heard about the side hustle trend of on demand apps, like Amazon Flex. If you haven't it's an on demand delivery app through Amazon where the driver logs into an app, picks up packages and delivers them to customers. It's a super cool way to make some extra dough or make it your main gig. It's flexible and easy to do. All you need to start is a phone, car and a desire to make some extra cash.  How the day starts: I login to the Amazon Flex app, and look at the available offers. Be patient, they can be snatched up quickly. Once, you land one, show up for your scheduled block, load the packages and get the app ready to start delivering.  I use a nifty gadget from Amazon to hold my phone and my drink at the same time. It's durable, flexible and works as I pull my phone in and out of the holder to take with me to snap photos of the delivered packages. I have included the link below, if you would like to order one from yourself. BTW another side hustle s...

Reselling

What's reselling? It's when you buy an item you know you can purchase at a lower price and resell it for a profit. These items are always brand new as opposed to flipping where the items are usually used, vintage or antique. This takes careful planning and execution. I researched items I could purchase and turn a quick profit.  These Nike Dunks “Pandas”  🐼 sell in the store for $120 (excluding tax) and are easily flipped for $200.00.

Flipping

Flipping is one of the most exhilarating forms of side hustles you can attempt. What is flipping? It's purchasing a used, vintage or antique items and reselling it for a profit. Imagine buying something for $1.00 then turning around and selling it for $25.00 or buying for $10.00 and selling it for $100.00 etc. It's so much fun! How did I start? The first item I ever flipped was when I was 9 years old and eBay transactions were still done through the mail. It was a rare mole-hair Duck Soup brand bear that I purchased at a rummage sale for $0.50. My Mom helped me list it and I told it for $75.00. It was thrilling to say the least! I knew from that moment on I wanted to flip anything I could. Now a days, things are different and better in many ways. Now you can go to a garage sale, easily look items up on your phone and post it online on your way home. The items I look for are antiques, baby items, shoes, clothes, etc.
